The original fiberglass dune buggy was the 1964 "Meyers Manx" built by Bruce Meyers.
First UK Buggy
Inspired by pictures he had seen in American magazines, Warren Grangeset set about creating his own vision of the Dune Buggy. In mid ’68 the Mk I Volksrod was born, and the Volksrod factory in Leicestershire is still producing beach buggies today.
Number of copies Worldwide
The Beach Buggy has been copied more than 300,000 times, all over the world, and it owes its creator a fortune. Literally.
